Service New Brunswick (SNB) is a Crown corporation administered by the Government of New Brunswick (GNB). SNB is GNB’s chief provider of front-line services to the public. It delivers more than 300 services to the public through a network of office locations, online services, and TeleServices (customer contact centre). In addition, it oversees land and corporate registries, property assessment services, and maintenance of the province’s land information infrastructure.

Position Details:

Position: Full Time

Site: Service New Brunswick

Overtime: Overtime (excess of 44 hours)

Hours: 42.25 per week

Payrate: $ 21 $/hour

• Access Control : Monitor and control entry points, ensuring that only authorized individuals are allowed access to restricted areas.
• Respond to Emergencies: Act quickly in emergency situations, such as medical emergencies, fire alarms, or security threats. Assist staff as needed during crises and evacuations.
• Provide Customer Service: Greet and assist visitors, and staff. Provide directions and ensure that guests adhere to policies and procedures.
• Conflict Resolution: De-escalate tense situations, resolve conflicts, and ensure that all interactions are handled calmly and professionally.
• Report Writing: Document daily activities, incidents, or accidents accurately. Complete reports on incidents, breaches, and security concerns.
• Collaboration with Staff : Work closely with staff and local law enforcement to provide a coordinated security effort and ensure the safety of all parties involved.

Prerequisites:

• English (oral and written) and / or French (oral and written) Depending of the site
• Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred.
• Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and / or Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)
• Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
• Please be aware: The UoF/MOAB training is not paid as it is a pre-requisite; however, Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability
