CREAM CHEESE PREP TEAM MEMBER

Rocky Mountain Bagel Co. in Canmore, AB is hiring a Seasonal Cream Cheese Prep Team Member to join our bakery crew from May through September . This is a physically active, behind-the-scenes role perfect for someone who loves working independently, keeping things clean, and helping a small business run smoothly.

You'll be making our signature cream cheese flavours in large batches, packaging them for use in-store and for retail, and assisting the bakery team with additional prep tasks. This is a physically demanding role that requires the ability to lift heavy equipment (including a large commercial mixing bowl, up to 50 lbs).

Key Responsibilities

• Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
• Acts with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promote the culture, vision, and values of the Rocky Mountain Bagel Co.
• Prepares cream cheese consistently by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards.
• Packs cream cheese into prep inserts and retail containers according to prep lists.
• Analyzes par lists to determine desired amount of cream cheese required for inventory levels.
• Operates a heavy duty mixer to combine cream cheese ingredients, and scrubs and sanitizes mixer once cream cheese production has completed.
• Assists day bakers as required with preparation of baked goods, and soups.
• Assists with delivery of baked goods, soups & cream cheeses between store locations and monitors expiry dates and inventory levels and restocks accordingly.
• Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume to keep the bakery operating to standard and to set a positive example for the team.
• Communicates information to supervisors and managers so that the team can respond accordingly.
• Responsible for keeping bakery in a clean and orderly condition, by performing cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, mixers, and wiping down surface areas.
• Maintains regular and punctual attendance standards so that the team can operate efficiently and effectively.
• Available to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
• Follows all store operating policies and standards, including providing quality products, store safety and security.
• Ability to lift and move heavy loads of up to 50lbs throughout the duration of the shift, as the position is physically demanding.
• Must hold a full valid Alberta Driver's License for deliveries between store locations in company vehicle.
• Available to perform other duties within the store during each shift as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Physically capable of lifting and moving heavy loads
• Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
• Positive attitude and willingness to help where needed
• Experience in a kitchen or bakery setting is a plus, but not required
