Position Title: Automotive Service Technician

Role Type: Permanent Local Position (Non-Camp/Non-FIFO)

Location: Taiganova, Fort McMurray, Alberta

Work Schedule: 7 days on, 7 days off; 12-hour day shifts

What I will be doing?

• Ensure all work order job lines are completed accurately as per Acden Mechanical Repair & Maintenance standards.

• Perform all aspects of automotive diagnosis and repair.

• Complete front-end alignments and tire repair.

• Work with, train, and mentor apprentices.

• Interact with 3rd party customers.

• Initiate estimates and maintain accurate reporting and documentation on work performed.

• Ensure work areas are clean and maintained.

• Active participation in the shop safety program and maintain strict adherence to OH&S guidelines.

What does Acden need from me?

• An Alberta Certified Journeyperson or an Inter-provincial Red Seal in automotive repair trade is required.

• Valid Class 5 License with a clean driver’s abstract is required.

• Physically fit to perform all duties of the job including but not limited to heavy lifting, bending, etc., is required.

• Previous experience dealing with general public is required.

• Previous repairs experience working in a dealership or third-party environment is required.

• Computer literate and strong knowledge of computer diagnostics is required.

• Ability to work harmoniously with a diverse workforce is required.

• Strong technical ability is required.

What are the "nice to haves"?

• Working knowledge of management systems including but not limited to: ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 is an asset.

• Commercial Vehicle inspection program experience with a valid CVI license is an asset.

• Experience in light truck and 4-wheel drive is an asset.
