Community Organizer for Eeyou Istchee
Cree Board of Health and Social Services of James Bay
Drive community development with your expertise as a Community Organizer in Eeyou Istchee. Design, coordinate, and enhance community programs to meet diverse needs effectively. In this role, you will leverage your bachelor's degree in human or social sciences and three years of experience in project coordination. Your skills in group monitoring and working with community organizations will help foster collaboration among various groups. This position also requires a strong understanding of social issues impacting families, particularly those in vulnerable contexts. Key Responsibilities:
• Identify and analyze community needs with concerned groups
• Design and coordinate community organization programs
• Facilitate partnerships to promote community development
• Serve as a resource person for various groups
• Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in human or social sciences
• Three years experience in community organization
• Work with community concertation tables
• Knowledge of group care and social issues
• Bilingual in Cree and English; French is an asset Utilize your leadership, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills to create impactful community programs.
