About the Role
Our busy South East Edmonton shop is actively searching for a reliable 1st or 2nd-year Welder Apprentice to join our fabrication team full-time. Let’s be completely transparent: you won't be doing custom, highly complex fabrication from day one. You will spend a lot of time working on cable trays and performing routine tacking. While the day-to-day tasks can be repetitive, this role is an absolute goldmine for an apprentice looking to rack up massive trade hours quickly thanks to tons of available overtime. We focus heavily on aluminum products, so you'll get solid MIG experience and steady work while you build your logbook.

Responsibilities
Your primary focus will be performing repetitive tacking and fabricating aluminum cable trays for large-scale production runs.

Execute standard MIG welding on aluminum, mild steel, and stainless steel (we will train you extensively on our specific aluminum processes).

Provide basic shop support to senior welders and journeymen by preparing materials and assisting with larger fabrication builds when required.

Keep your workstation, welding tools, and equipment clean, organized, and running properly.

Strictly adhere to all shop safety standards to ensure you and your crew go home safe every single day.

Qualifications
Must hold active and valid registration as a 1st or 2nd-year Apprentice Welder in Alberta.

Basic foundational welding skills required (if you have prior MIG experience, that is a massive plus).

A High School diploma or an equivalent level of education is required for this role.

Must possess up-to-date WHMIS certification and comfortable passing a standard Criminal Record Check.

A solid work ethic, a high tolerance for repetitive production tasks, and the drive to work overtime to build your trade hours.
