Duties

? The Banking Arrangements Directorate negotiates, manages, and implements financial services with financial institutions for both standard and specialized banking services, which are used for domestic and foreign disbursements and for the collection of revenues. ? The primary responsibilities of the position include both Treasury Management and Financial Management functions, including:

• Administering contracts with Financial Institutions through amendments, invoice verification and data entry in the departmental financial system.
• Researching, developing, negotiating, and implementing banking services solutions on behalf of client departments.
• Developing Statements of Work, Requests for Information, and Requests for Proposal. documents, and subsequently evaluating proposals received from industry.
• Liaising with senior-level officials from the Financial Services industry and regulatory bodies.
• Preparing and delivering presentations.
• Providing expert advice and guidance to PSPC executives and client departments.
• Participating in or leading research, analysis, and planning.
• Performing data analytics and creating reports for senior management.
• Executing other ad hoc tasks.

Intent of the process

• Experience working in a financial institution (federally regulated bank or registered trust and loan company or Cooperative credit association) or in treasury management for a large corporation.
• Experience providing commercial banking products or treasury and cash management services (such as but not limited to commercial cards, credit card merchant services, foreign exchange services, etc.).
• Experience in analyzing issues of a financial nature and providing recommendations to senior management.
• Experience in using a financial management system (such as SAP) and spreadsheet applications (such as Excel).
