About the Role
Reporting to the National Head of Sales, Wealth and Retirement Advice, the Regional Vice President (RVP) is accountable for the overall performance, growth, and strategic direction of the PlanRight Wealth and Retirement Western Regional team. This role will lead a distributed team of regional advisors, driving regional sales outcomes, advisor productivity, and client engagement excellence. The RVP plays a critical leadership role in shaping sales strategy, building advisor capability, and aligning cross‑functional partners to deliver a best‑in‑class advice experience to members. This position offers the opportunity to influence enterprise‑level outcomes, develop high‑performing teams, and scale a rapidly evolving distribution model supporting long‑term growth.
Position Responsibilities
- Provide senior leadership oversight for PlanRight regional sales distribution and the regional advisor team, with full accountability for regional sales results and advisor productivity.
- Lead, develop, and coach an experienced team of both Senior advisors and Associate Advisors to ensure consistent execution of sales strategy and achievement of targets.
- Establish performance management frameworks, including sales targets, activity metrics, and pipeline discipline, leveraging CRM tools such as Salesforce.
- Drive continuous improvement in advisor effectiveness through coaching models, call quality reviews, joint client engagements, and capability‑building programs.
- Collaborate with executive stakeholders, sales support, training, and business development partners to align strategy, optimize processes, and deliver integrated client solutions.
- Collaborate with business partners to create and execute annual business planning, including setting national sales goals, defining strategic initiatives, and executing transformation priorities across the channel.
- Champion a high‑performance culture focused on customer outcomes, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of progressive leadership experience in financial services, including senior sales leadership and team management responsibilities.
- Demonstrated success leading sales teams, geographically dispersed sales organizations and delivering against revenue and growth targets.
- Deep expertise in financial planning, investment and insurance products, and the Canadian advisor marketplace.
- Strong experience in sales performance management, pipeline optimization, and CRM‑enabled sales operations (e.g., Salesforce).
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- LLQP, MFDA, or IIROC licensing; CFP designation (or progress toward designation).
- University degree preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of Group Retirement Savings, wealth management, and retail advisory distribution models.
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements within financial services.
- Experience leading transformation initiatives, including scaling teams, optimizing client journeys, or evolving go‑to‑market strategies.
- Demonstrated success developing future leaders and building succession pipelines.
