Electrical Engineering Team Lead at Stantec

Lead a skilled electrical engineering team with Stantec's Energy division in Western Canada. This hybrid position focuses on utilities substation projects, fostering collaboration and innovation. As the Electrical Engineering Team Lead, your role combines technical leadership with mentorship. You will utilize your expertise to deliver high-quality engineering services. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, you will ensure client expectations are exceeded while championing a strong safety culture and supporting junior engineers in their growth. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead detailed design of substations and switchyard layouts
• Provide technical advice on engineering documentation and reports
• Mentor team members to foster professional growth
• Conduct engineering studies including power flow and short-circuit
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and QA/QC processes

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
• 8+ years in transmission and distribution utility design
• Proficiency in CYMCAP, ETAP, and AutoCAD
• Experience with BC Hydro is a plus
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel occasionally
