Description of Work - High Level:
The key assignment for this project is to convert approximately 6,000 historical LTC inspection reports covering the past three (3) years into an AODA-compliant HTML format, providing critical public information in a way that is equitable and accessible to all, and making the reports fully readable for assistive technologies. This task will require manually reviewing each existing report and copying and pasting English and French content into a solution interface that will produce AODA HTML content visible to the public. This work would be tracked and logged by the candidates in Excel.
- Non-negotiables that are required: Computer literate, familiar with Microsoft Excel, Word, Teams and Outlook. Familiar with accessing and reading ADOBE. Comfortable with learning new technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
The following outlines the key responsibilities and steps involved in the process:
1. Preparation and Access
- Step 1.1: The candidate refers to the excel tracker to identify a report that requires remediation. The candidate navigates into the folder containing the historical LTC inspection reports.
- Step 1.2: The candidate retrieves the English public report.
2. Content Remediation
- Step 2.1: The candidate reviews the public report to familiarize themselves with the content of the report.
- Step 2.2: The candidate copies content from the report into a solution interface to overwrite the existing English text that will be showing.
- Step 2.3: The candidate ensures that the content has been copied accurately into the corresponding interface sections
- Step 2.4: The candidate previews the HTML public report for validation of content and formatting.
- Step 2.5: The candidate updates the excel tracker to mark the public report as complete.
3. French Version Remediation
- Step 3.1: The candidate retrieves the corresponding French version of the public report.
- Step 3.2: Repeat Steps 2.1- 2.5 for the French version.
4. Next Report
- Step 4.1: The candidate returns to the folder and selects the next public report for remediation.
- Step 4.2: Repeat Steps 1-3 for the new report.
Key Notes:
- Each report requires two separate remediations: one for the English version and one for the French version.
- Through the interface, users may see personal health information while completing Step 2.2. Confidentiality and absolute discretion must be exercised.
- Regular quality checks will be incorporated at the end of each batch of reports for additional assurance.
- The candidate will be responsible and accountable for ensuring the accuracy and detail of their work through quality and audit checks.
