Facilities Cooridinator

Job Responsibility: Koch Fertilizer is looking for a Facilities Coordinator in our Brandon, MB Location!

This position offers the opportunity to coordinate and manager the upkeep of an industrial plant environment. The successful candidate will have the ability to manage and revise current site upkeep plans to maintain buildings and landscaping within Brandon Plant. The Facilities Coordinator will work with the maintenance team as an integrated member, and utilize site resources to adequately maintain structures, buildings and grounds. The role offers opportunities to understand current business needs and create strategies to maintain plant quality and upkeep while being competitive to the market. The facilities coordinator will work with other KAES facilities to understand and apply learnings.

What You Will Do

• Own the facilities upkeep budget and provide input to overall site value as a member of the maintenance organization.
• Manage, develop programs and strategies to support the maintenance and upkeep of structural steel, buildings, roofs, and plant landscaping across the site.
• Be a leader in the development of upkeep programs to ensure customer satisfaction, and quality while remaining competitive to market.
• Manage, organize, and maintain relationships with general service contractors including but not limited to HydroVac Services, HVAC Services, etc.
• Be a leader in facility siting initiatives providing support for both Maintenance and Operational teams.
• Manage small projects utilizing support from internal departments to ensure quality, schedule, and cost performance.
• Manage internal systems and develop others to support Headquarters Building functionality.
• Vehicular fleet management including licensing, insurance, and liability protection.
• Manage, organize, support, and ensure the efficient rental of equipment to support the maintenance execution team.
• Be a role model for culture and become a preferred partner across the site.
• Work with the Maintenance Team to optimize work scope and execution strategies to create quality and cost-effective solutions.
• Manage upkeep contracts including but not limited to landscaping, FR Clothing management, cleaning services, and water supply, etc. to ensure employees needs are met while being competitive.
• Ability to change to emerging demands and perform duties as assigned.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• High School Diploma or equal.

What Will Put You Ahead

• Bachelor's degree in facilities management, engineering, or a related field.
• Experience communicating both verbally and written with multiple levels of an organization
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously utilizing Project Management and organizational skills
• Experience leading others
