Photonics Process Engineer at Xanadu

Utilize your expertise in cleanroom processes and device fabrication to drive innovations in superconducting nanowire single photon detectors. In this critical role on the Hardware Team, you will collaborate with physicists and engineers to enhance photon number resolving cryogenic detectors. Your background in thin-film characterization, metrology, and cleanroom fabrication will be essential for developing advanced fabrication processes. This position requires travel within Canada for cleanroom development at partner facilities and interfaces with internal stakeholders. Key Responsibilities:

  • Improve performance of photon number resolving cryogenic detectors
  • Develop and optimize cleanroom fabrication processes
  • Collaborate across teams to identify performance requirements
  • Maintain detailed process documentation and recipes
  • Operate cleanroom tools like photolithography and CVD
Requirements:
  • Master's in Physics, Engineering, or related discipline
  • 3+ years in cleanroom process development
  • Proficient with photolithography and electron beam lithography
  • Experience in statistical process control
  • Capable of managing multiple priorities autonomously
