Senior Manager Operational Risk Governance

Shape operational risk governance for EQ Personal Banking through control testing, issue management, and regulatory reporting in hybrid Toronto work.This Senior Manager leads the design, implementation, execution, and reporting of first-line testing and risk management programs. You will maintain control documentation, streamline processes, challenge existing approaches, and coach teams on testing expectations. The role also supports reporting for senior leadership and the Board, highlighting risks, control gaps, and trends.Key Responsibilities:
Refresh key controls and maintain supporting procedures and evidenceReview and streamline business processes and controlsCoach first-line teams on testing processes and expectationsTrack issues and manage timely remediation activitiesReport control effectiveness, regulatory themes, and risk trendsRequirements:
Minimum five years progressive risk management or audit experienceFirst-line risk management experience within financial services preferredKnowledge of regulatory, legal, compliance, and business planning mattersKnowledge of Bank Act and federal consumer protection requirementsAbility to influence management and maintain strong relationshipsUse operational risk governance, testing expertise, and clear communication to strengthen controls across EQ Personal Banking.
