As part of their continued growth strategy, they are seeking an entrepreneurial Architect who can play a key role in expanding their client base and helping shape the future direction of the business. Your new role  

As a senior member of the team, you will be responsible for both project delivery and business development. Leveraging your existing network within the private development, builder, and real estate sectors, you will identify and secure new opportunities while strengthening existing relationships. In this role, you will play a key part in the growth and success of the firm by combining strong architectural expertise with a proven ability to generate new business. Leveraging your existing network within the private sector, you will identify and secure new project opportunities, build and maintain relationships with developers, builders, investors, and other key stakeholders, and help convert those relationships into long-term clients. You will lead client presentations, fee proposals, contract negotiations, and project pursuits, while also overseeing projects from concept through construction administration. As a senior member of the team, you will mentor and support architectural and technical staff, collaborate closely with ownership on strategic growth initiatives, and act as a trusted advisor to clients and an ambassador for the firm within the industry.

What you'll need to succeed  

The successful candidate will be a registered (AAA preferred) or eligible for registration and will bring 10+ years of architectural experience within the Alberta market. You will have a proven track record of developing and maintaining strong client relationships within the private sector and possess exceptional business development and networking skills, with the ability to generate new project opportunities and convert relationships into long-term clients. Existing connections with developers, builders, and other key industry stakeholders will be a strong asset. In addition to your business development expertise, you will have experience leading projects across residential, mixed-use and commercial sectors, coupled with strong project management, leadership, and communication skills. An entrepreneurial mindset, a genuine interest in contributing to the long-term growth of a firm, and experience preparing proposals, fee structures, and securing new work will be essential for success in this role.

What you'll get in return  

The successful candidate will receive a competitive compensation package $100K-$130K base salary, with flexibility to structure remuneration based on experience, existing client relationships, and business development capabilities. The package may include a combination of base salary, performance-based incentives, and commission tied to new business generation and project revenue. In addition, the firm offers extended health benefits, hybrid working, and the opportunity to play a role in the future growth of the practice.
