Part-Time Live-Out Nanny for Warm Ottawa Family with Two Young Children

Our family in Ottawa, Ontario is looking for a kind, caring, and experienced live-out nanny to help care for our two young children: Matteo, our 3-year-old son, and Alaina, our 1-year-old daughter. We are looking for support four days per week, with a focus on caring for our children during the day. Sara, the children’s mother, works from home as a registered psychotherapist and is available throughout the day, but needs assistance with childcare while she works. Tristan is a Director of Finance for a think tank in Ottawa. We are a warm, welcoming, and playful family. We love spending time outdoors, going for walks, visiting nearby parks, and encouraging our children to play, explore, and learn. Health, well-being, kindness, and positive energy are very important to us, and we would love to welcome someone who shares those values into our home. The ideal person will have experience caring for young children between the ages of 1 and 4 and will be nurturing, reliable, patient, and attentive. We are looking for someone who can help create a safe, engaging, and caring environment for our children, support their daily routines, and assist with light child-related housekeeping and simple meal preparation. Responsibilities Provide attentive, nurturing care for two young children, ages 1 and 3 Support daily routines, including meals, naps, playtime, and outdoor activities Plan and participate in age-appropriate activities, including reading, music, crafts, walks, and park visits Help create a safe, positive, and engaging environment Assist with light child-related housekeeping, such as tidying play areas, cleaning up after meals, and organizing children’s belongings Assist with simple meal and snack preparation for the children Communicate with parents about the children’s day, routines, and needs Ideal Candidate Has experience caring for infants, toddlers, or young children Is kind, patient, reliable, and nurturing Enjoys being active, playful, and outdoors with children Values health, well-being, kindness, and positive energy Is comfortable working in a home where one parent works from home Can help support a calm, caring, and consistent routine for the children We are offering $25 per hour.
