Remote Technical Service Representative, Insurance Brokerage

This role is a great opportunity for someone that has already worked at an insurance brokerage or is new to the insurance industry and is wanting to build their skills and knowledge and become a licensed insurance professional and grow their career with us.

This position is for our Lucknow, ON office; requirement is 4 days a week in office, 1 day at home. Must be willing to travel to our Goderich office to cover off vacations, absences, etc.

So What Will You Spend Your Days Doing?

• Assist the Personal Lines Service Brokers/Producers in processing renewals, new business and endorsements.


• Portal entry for all new business and data entry into the broker management system.


• Provide Reception duties for the brokerage (phones, mail, courier, process client payments, etc.)


• Liaise with insurance carrier partners to process and submit change requests and follow up to ensure we have all the necessary documentation in place and the system is updated with all relevant information.


• Review applications, renewals, and endorsements, validating key coverages are included to ensure the client has the proper protection.


• Validate information and conduct preliminary investigation if discrepancies exist between broker quote and portal results. Review discrepancies with brokers and/or work with carriers/brokers to obtain missing information.


• Follow up with brokers, clients and/or carriers for any missing information.


• Process payments for brokers upon request.


• Follow up with clients for payment reminder notification.


• Ensure all information is entered and maintained in the system.


• Complete invoicing for non-downloaded policies, including trouble shooting any discrepancies.


• Provide additional support to the broker team (e.g. letters pink slips, etc.)


• Remain current with our carrier offerings and product or process changes.

Key Qualifications

• Must be willing to work out of our Goderich office to cover off vacations, absences, etc.


• Attention to detail and being organized is a must.


• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.


• Working knowledge of TAM or prior experience in insurance is an asset.


• Willingness to get their RIBO (broker) license; having RIBO license already is an asset.
