Bartender

The hotel is currently recruiting for a Bartender.   This position is  responsible for preparing and serving drinks, to guests in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner to deliver an excellent Guest experience! This position will also be required to have extensive knowledge of our exciting menu offerings.  They are able to mix and match ingredients in order to create classic and innovative drinks in accordance with our menu and guests’ needs and expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Outlets Manager, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Manage guest queries in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner.
• Serve Alcoholic/non-Alcoholic beverages in conjunction with licensing/liquor regulations for residents and non-residents.
• Ensure knowledge of the menu and all products.
• Ensure that bar and floor stations are stocked and tidy at all times.
• Follow correct reporting procedures if faced with issues.
• Possesses the ability to sell or influence others by up-selling and suggestive selling;
• Ensure Food and Beverage orders are of a consistently good standard and delivered in a timely manner.
• Collects payment for drinks served and balances all receipts;
• Prepares inventory or purchase requisitions as needed to replenish supplies;
• Complies with all food and beverage regulations;
• Adhere to hotel grooming standards including uniform dress code, cleanliness and personal hygiene.
• Comply with hotel security, fire regulations, and all health and safety legislation.

• Smart Serve Certification;
• Food Handling Certification is an asset;
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, holidays, and weekends
• Experience in Food and Beverage department and/or industry
• Previous experience in cash handling.
• Must be leagally authorized to work in Canada
