Hybrid - 2201 Eglinton Ave E, Scarborough – up to 2/week – Tues/Wed. Subject to change: 3–4 days onsite may be required based on business needs.

Schedule Hours

9am-5pm Monday-Friday; standard 37.5 hrs/week.

Typical Day in Role

• Provides day-to-day support to SAP Payroll Reporting & Testing Analysts in creating and managing payroll reports, testing activities, and year-end tax form processes (e.g., T4, T4A, Relevé 1).
• Assists in the investigation, analysis, and resolution of technical problems within payroll systems (SAP), including issues related to CRA reporting and year-end processing.
• Supports year-end payroll activities, including preparation, validation, reconciliation, and filing of employee tax forms in accordance with CRA requirements.
• Collaborates with the SAP Canadian Payroll Technology team to support the execution of global expansion initiatives, providing input and helping ensure efficiency within SAP.
• Supports the configuration of the payroll system in alignment with established project requirements, and provides technical assistance for SAP payroll systems as required.
• Participates in payroll testing cycles, which may require working outside of regular business hours based on project and operational needs.
• Ensures assigned activities are completed in compliance with the Bank’s policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrates an understanding of the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture and applies this understanding in day-to-day activities and decisions.
• Supports SAP Payroll Reporting & Testing.
• Provides technical expertise for payroll systems.
• Supports year-end payroll activities, Volume of transactions.
• System support: SAP, WorkForce Software.
• Responsible for meeting established SLAs.
• Ensures business continuity for accountabilities under purview, ensuring coverage 5 days/week in assigned schedule.

Candidate Requirements / Must Have Skills

1. 3+ years’ technical experience with SAP HCM payroll and reporting.
2. Experience with year-end processes (i.e., tax forms).
3. Intermediate to Advanced Excel capability (formulas, pivot tables).

Nice-To-Have Skills

• Previous experience within a payroll or HR function.
• Deep understanding and knowledge of banking policies and procedures.
• Strong knowledge of organizational structure and complexity.
• Robust knowledge of payroll policies, processes and practices.
• PCP or CPM designation or in progress is considered an asset.
• Experience with transaction processing and data management.

Education

Post-secondary Degree or Diploma in Accounting or Business or pursuing education in related field.

Best VS. Average Candidate

Ideal candidate is at technical SME on SAP Payroll who can independently solution and guide on technical issues in the tool.
