Billing & Accounting Clerk / Legal Assistant

Judson Howie LLP is a busy litigation practice serving the Rainy River and Kenora districts in criminal defence, family law, civil litigation, business law, human rights, municipal law, and estate litigation.

We are seeking a Billing & Accounting Clerk / Legal Assistant to support the work of our growing three-lawyer firm. As a member of our team, you will:

• Prepare client accounts, invoices, trust statements, and billing reports;
• Perform bank, trust, and general ledger reconciliations;
• Prepare and organize court materials, correspondence, and legal documents for filing and service;
• Communicate professionally with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and third-party service providers;
• Assist lawyers with file management, document organization, disclosure, and evidence review;
• Schedule appointments, court appearances, and deadlines, and assist with practice administration; and
• Assist with general office administration and contribute to the efficient operation of the firm.

Compensation and job title commensurate with experience. Position is available as a paid internship for those seeking a career change.
