Machine Learning Platform Engineer

Advance Homebase’s AI capabilities through MLflow, feature stores, and LLM serving. Collaborate in person at the Toronto hub Tuesdays and Wednesdays.This Data and ML Platform Engineer role focuses on foundations that move machine learning proofs of concept into production. You will evolve feature stores, support MLflow, build gRPC serving services, and transition batch workloads toward real-time inference. The role also connects data ingestion, platform reliability, and product engineering needs.Key Responsibilities:
Move batch workloads toward real-time inferenceMake LLM latency and costs visibleTake data science proofs of concept into productionBuild, test, and operate with AI-assisted toolsPartner across data and product engineering teamsRequirements:
Experience with MLflow and feature storesExperience serving large language modelsStrong Python and SQL skillsAI tool experimentation within engineering workflowsClear communication across technical and non-technical teamsUse ML platform engineering, real-time inference, and AI fluency to strengthen Homebase products serving small businesses.
