Build scalable Python backend services onsite in Toronto, specializing in RESTful APIs, distributed systems, and enterprise financial platforms at Apexon.Apexon seeks a senior Backend Engineer focused on Python API and platform engineering. You will design reliable services, develop integrations, and support high-performance systems. The work spans databases, cloud technologies, security, performance, observability, and collaboration with frontend, DevOps, product, and engineering teams.Key Responsibilities:
Design and maintain scalable Python backend servicesBuild RESTful APIs using REST, JSON, and OpenAPIContribute to distributed system architecture discussionsOptimize services for security, performance, and observabilitySupport CI/CD pipelines, automation, and DevOps practicesRequirements:
Five to ten or more years of backend engineering experienceStrong hands-on Python backend development experienceSystem design and distributed systems knowledgeSQL, NoSQL, and major cloud platform experienceBachelor’s or Master’s degree from a Canadian institutionApply Python, API, platform engineering, and distributed systems expertise to Apexon’s mission-critical financial platforms in Toronto.
