Shop Parts Specialist

Charger Logistics is looking for a Shop Parts Specialist who has experience with managing the parts for trucks and trailers. We are looking for a candidate with previous work experience and strong work ethics to join the company as a Parts Coordinator.
Job Duties
- Manage and track truck and trailer parts stock levels
- Order new inventory as needed and transfer invoices to the accounts department
- Work closely with Mechanics and Service Coordinators to assign parts and keep track of all issued parts
- Enter repair and maintenance work into the company’s database
- Help in the daily planning of repair and maintenance work schedules
- Enter repair and maintenance work into the company’s database
- Ensure timely service of company equipment, upholding truck and trailer compliance
- Coordinate with the safety department to notify drivers of services due
- Pick up parts from dealerships as needed
- Ability to pick up and organize common parts within the shop.
- Handle other shop-related tasks as they arise
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Minimum one-year experience as Parts clerk or coordinator
- Post-secondary education preferred
- Knowledge of truck parts and equipment
- Heavy vehicle aftermarket and parts background
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Hard worker with a positive attitude
- Willing to work extended hours and on weekends
- Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment
- Strong computer skills, particularly MS Office
