Senior Water Resources Engineer in Markham

Elevate your engineering career as a Senior Water Resources Engineer at Stantec, located in Markham, Ontario. This role focuses on innovative mine water management projects across Canada, combining technical leadership and multidisciplinary collaboration. As a Senior Water Resources Engineer at Stantec, you’ll be integral to our Environmental Services Business Line and the Water Resources Technical Team. You will lead hydraulic and hydrologic modelling, develop water management infrastructure, and conduct water quality assessments. Your expertise will guide colleagues and engage clients, driving solutions that address complex water quantity and quality challenges. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead mine water resources management projects throughout life of mine phases
- Conduct surface water resources studies for environmental assessments
- Oversee mine closure planning and technical assessments
- Provide project management, budgets, and technical reporting
- Design and implement hydrological field investigations
- Minimum 10 years relevant consulting experience
- Professional registration with a Canadian Engineering Association
- Strong expertise in hydraulic and hydrologic modelling
- Master’s or Doctorate-level degree in related field preferred
- Valid G-class driver’s license required
