Senior Racing Game Designer

Shape responsive vehicle handling as an experienced Designer at Velan Studios, working hybrid or onsite from Troy, New York, or Toronto, Ontario.You'll lead gameplay feature development with the Game Director and other designers. The work spans level content, racing mechanics, scripting, and cross-disciplinary collaboration. You will help create a new racing concept from prototype through launch.Key Responsibilities:
Lead gameplay feature design with the Game Director and designersPrototype and implement level content throughout the product lifecycleDevelop vehicle-based racing mechanics with programming teamsCreate racecourse obstacles and power-up typesCollaborate with art, animation, audio, and gameplay teamsRequirements:
Five or more years of design experienceAt least one shipped titleAbility to lead a small cross-discipline sub-teamGeneral scripting proficiencyStrong cross-disciplinary communication skillsBring racing design, gameplay prototyping, scripting, and leadership experience to Velan Studios' Troy or Toronto team.
