Lead Java backend development for CIBC’s ECIS team in Toronto, focusing on application design, integration, and strategic planning.As a Consultant Java Backend Developer, you will work with senior teams across multiple Enterprise Customer Information Services applications. You will lead technical design, development, and integration while coordinating complicated programming activities. Your work will include Java, microservices, REST APIs, databases, and cloud technologies.Key Responsibilities:
Design technical infrastructure for ECIS applicationsCoordinate complicated application programming activitiesLead development of innovative backend solutionsCreate multi-year technology roadmaps aligned with business goalsRun code reviews and mentor developersRequirements:
Five to eight years of relevant experienceExperience with Java, J2EE, microservices, and REST APIsKnowledge of RDBMS, SQL, Docker, and Maven or GradleExperience with Azure, AWS, Jenkins, CI/CD, and GitBachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or technical disciplineApply Java, backend architecture, strategic planning, and mentoring expertise to CIBC’s ECIS applications in Toronto.
