About the role:
Reporting to the Senior Lead, Environment, the Lead Environment, Systems is responsible for the management and execution of compliance, regulatory permitting, and internal standards related to contaminated sites, waste and air quality at our Fording River Operations mine. In this role, you will have the opportunity to drive and enhance compliance and the site environmental programs.
To be successful we are looking for someone that demonstrates a balance of operational experience, applied technical abilities in air quality, dust mitigation, waste and spill management, and regulatory processes. The ideal candidate can multi-task, adapting quickly in a dynamic work environment, is innovative, and has solutions-based critical thinking. The successful candidate will also have strong interpersonal and communication skills and be able to build and maintain relationships with the operational workforce, as well as regulators and contractors.
