Role Overview

The Communications and Media Relation Advisor plays a key role in shaping Solotech’s corporate communications toward its employees and external audiences. This role supports the development and execution of internal and external communications that bring our strategy to life, ensure consistent messaging, and strengthen engagement across the organization.

Through structured communication rhythms, corporate events, and key communication channels, this role helps connect employees and external audiences to Solotech’s priorities, culture, and vision.

Working closely with internal stakeholders, the role translates business priorities into clear, engaging, and impactful storytelling that drives alignment, builds pride, and strengthens Solotech’s brand presence. The incumbent provides expert guidance on communication strategies and best practices.

This role requires a hands‑on approach, with a significant focus on execution and deployment. It demands strategic thinking to effectively position our communication and ensure alignment with our overall objective.

Your day will look like this:

Corporate & Executive Communications

  • Advise internal stakeholders on the most effective approaches and messaging based on context, audiences, and jurisdictions, and support them in building communication plans that drive the success of their initiatives.
  • Develop and execute communication plans that support Solotech’s strategic priorities.
  • Implement and manage a structured communication cadence across the organization, including leadership forums, town halls, executive meetings, and other key communication touchpoints.
  • Ensure consistent messaging across all levels of the organization and provide strategic communication guidance to leaders.
  • Develop executive communication materials, including presentations, speeches, talking points, leadership messages, and organizational announcements.

Internal Communications

  • Create and deliver engaging communications that keep employees informed, aligned, and connected to the company’s strategy and culture.
  • Develop communication campaigns supporting organizational initiatives, business transformations, talent programs, and change management efforts.
  • Manage communication channels and ensure messaging is timely, relevant, and impactful.

External Communications

  • Develop external communication materials including corporate announcements.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support key corporate initiatives and external stakeholder communications.
  • Manage media relations, including coordinating outreach, responding to incoming media inquiries, and producing media activity reports.

Corporate Events & Employee Engagement

  • Lead the planning and execution of corporate events, including town halls, leadership forums, employee events, and strategic business meetings.
  • Develop event communication plans and supporting materials to maximize participation and engagement.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure successful event delivery.
  • Support initiatives that reinforce Solotech’s culture, values, employee engagement, ESG objectives, and philanthropy program (donations and sponsorships).

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism or a related field.
  • 7 years or more experience in a similar position in a global organization.
  • Proven ability to provide strategic communication advice to internal stakeholders and to recommend effective solutions.
  • Proficient in both English and French, oral and written is essential.
  • Superior English and French writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Autonomous, with the ability to work both in a team and independently.
  • Ability to express ideas clearly and translate complex information into easily understandable and engaging content for diverse audiences.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a highly dynamic environment, under tight deadlines and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Having experience in the audio‑visual, media, or entertainment technology industries is an asset.
  • Curious with a keen interest for communications innovation.
  • Solution‑oriented with a good analytical mindset and the ability to synthesize ideas effectively.
  • Team player with superior interpersonal skills as well as the ability to communicate and engage at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive matters.
  • Comfortable and proficient in using technology, including the Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, etc.), as well as typical communication tools.
