Director, Engineering - Gilead Alberta

Gilead Sciences seeks a Director of Engineering for its Alberta manufacturing site. This leadership role oversees the Engineering team, manages capital projects and plant systems, and ensures compliance with regulatory and safety standards in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily activities and manage performance of the Engineering team
- Oversee design, installation, and operation of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems
- Develop and review capital expenditure proposals and project requirements
- Coordinate plant changes and equipment upgrades across production and quality functions
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and manage audits and inspections
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
- 12+ years of experience in engineering or manufacturing
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation registered in Alberta
- Knowledge of Canadian codes and standards for pressure vessels and power plants
- Experience managing engineering teams and budgets
- Demonstrated people leadership and talent development skills
