Description

Reporting to the VP, Operations, the Manager, Procurement and Supply Chain is responsible and accountable for the overall day-to-day management of the purchasing, receiving, storing, processing and distribution of supplies and equipment.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Purchasing or Materials Management related field preferred
• PMAC (Purchasing Management Association of Canada) certification an asset
• Minimum three (3) years management experience, preferably in a healthcare setting
• Technical proficiency and understanding of purchasing, logistics and supply management processes
• Provides leadership which is responsive to changing situations and needs of staff and hospital departments
• Seeks out new opportunities to improve quality and productivity
• Experienced user of technology including MS Office, Materials Management Systems (MMS), and finance and procurement systems (MediSolutions)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders
• Strong customer service orientation, sensitive to client issues and understanding of importance of diplomacy and confidentiality
• Excellent time management and organizational skills to prioritize recruitment needs and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• High attention to detail to ensure compliance with recruitment policies and thorough candidate screening
• Class G drivers license, access to a reliable vehicle, and ability to travel to attend off site hospital locations as required and recruitment events
• Reliable attendance record
