Responsibilities

• Leading the day-to-day operations of the service department to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of quality.
• Managing shop productivity, scheduling, labour utilization, and workflow to maximize efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Supporting the hire process for the service team. Coaching, developing, and supporting technicians and shop leaders while fostering a positive and engaged team environment.
• Building strong relationships with customers by ensuring quality repairs, addressing concerns, and delivering excellent service
• Monitoring department performance, identifying opportunities for improvement, and supporting the achievement of financial and operational goals
• Promoting a strong safety culture and maintaining a clean, organized, and professional work environment.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in a service, maintenance, trucking, automotive, or related environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and an understanding of service operations.
• Proven ability to lead, coach, and motivate a team while holding high standards for performance and accountability.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong customer service and relationship-building abilities.
• Post-secondary education, trade certification, industry experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
