Sessional Instructor – ENCM 335 – Programming Fundamentals for Electrical Engineers (Fall2026: September1 – December312026)

Course Overview

Key features of the C programming language, pointers, memory models and memory management, modular design of software, information hiding, manipulation of text files and binary files, and introduction to recursion.

Course Schedule

  • Lecture: MWF11:00am–11:50am
  • Labs: Tuesday2:00pm–3:15pm
  • Tutorial: Wednesday12:00pm–12:50pm

Qualifications

  • M‑a‑sters degree in electrical, computer, or software engineering.
  • Demonstrated background in the subject matter of the course.
  • Very good previous teaching performance or demonstrated potential for very good to excellent teaching ability.
  • Professional Engineer registration in a Canadian province is strongly desired.
  • Prioritization for Canadian citizens and permanent residents of Canada.
  • Commitment to Employment Equity and encouragement of applications from women.
