Objective: To support the day-to-day tactical purchasing activities, which include:

• Managing purchase orders processing
• Managing suppliers' deliveries according to Production / Operations / Installation requirements
• Rectify purchase order issues
• Handle daily payment delivery and invoice issues with assigned supplier base
• Maintenance of purchase orders
• Monitor suppliers to meet quality and delivery requirements
• Obtain information from functional departments.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities ? Manage Material Availability (missing parts) ? Managing suppliers and related activities to drive cost, lead time, and on time performance. ? Manage Purchasing Document for Stock Items. Administrate and maintain purchase orders and change orders according to procedures. ? Manage Acknowledgement of Purchasing Document for Stock Items ? Follow-Up Needs Expression & Deliveries - Expedites the delivery of critical parts to production as needed and communicates updates to management and the project team. ? Coordinate Delivery Crisis Solving ? Coordinate with all departments regarding supplier related issues within assigned commodities including but not limited to Immediate Actions (I.A's) and Over, Short & Damage (O, S & D's) reports. ? Maintain documented records for both internal and external communications as it relates to commercial issues. ? Manage Capacity Self-Declarations ? Manage Supply Chain & Capacity audit, Manage Specific Conditions for Vendors ? Consolidate Vendor Demand Multi-Business / Multi-Site ? Travel to the Alstom companies and other Suppliers facilities as part of the material delivery follow-up ? Discusses defective or unacceptable goods or services with quality control personnel, users, vendors, and others to determine source of trouble and take corrective action. ? Approves invoices for payment. ? Communicate engineering releases and engineering change notices to suppliers. ? Provide information to Management and Projects to keep them informed of any critical issues within assigned commodities, utilizing standard reporting processes and procedures. ? Participate in Special Projects/assignments as required and/or directed. ? Update and maintain SAP (GSI) with accurate delivery dates and PO acknowledgment confirmation. ? Any and all other responsibilities, in addition to those mentioned above, as assigned by supervisor/manager. Any interpretation/clarification with responsibilities above will be settled by the supervisor/manager.

Educational Requirements

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience (Essential Functions) Minimum of 3-5 years of Purchasing activity, placing purchase orders and deliveries follow-up with vendors.

Working Conditions (Industrial/Environmental) Working conditions, i.e. shifts, overtime, exposure to environmental hazards etc. Attachment B list common environmental factors use it to determine the environmental requirements for this position.
