Expected Start Date: September 28, 2026 Union: SUN Facility: Yorkton Community Services - Broadway St W City/Town: Yorkton Department: Primary Care Sites Type: Full-time temporary Expected Up to Date: November 15, 2027 FTE: 1 Shift Information: Days Number of Hours per Rotation: 11 shifts of 10 hours per 3 weeks Relief: No Float: No Hours of Work: Standard Hours Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Nurse Practitioner $52.590 to $62.910 Travel Required: No Job : Advanced practice nurse with knowledge and skills gained through additional education and experience. Nurse blends an in-depth knowledge of nursing with the legal authority and autonomy to order diagnostic tests, prescribe pharmaceuticals and perform specific procedures in the management and treatment of common acute illnesses and stable chronic conditions patients. Position practices within a framework of evidence-based primary care, holism, health promotion, and disease and injury prevention. Practice involves building partnerships with individuals, families, and communities. This includes community needs assessments; supporting inter-professional collaboration and participating in continuous improvements through evaluative processes/projects. provides clinical assessment and treatment strategies that reflect in-depth knowledge of the care populations. Human Resources Exemption: No Experience- Three years fulltime experience as a Registered Nurse
- One (1) year experience with community development/health promotion activities
Education
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
Licenses
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
Other Education and Training
- Basic Cardiac Life Support Level C Certificate (BCLS)
- Master of Nurse Practitioner is acceptable
- Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner Specialization
