Technical Vendor Specialist

The Technical Vendor Specialist supports critical third-party vendor relationships and technology integrations that enable core business operations. This role is responsible for overseeing vendor performance, supporting platform integrations, managing operational incidents, and ensuring compliance with vendor governance and risk management requirements.
Working closely with internal stakeholders and external service providers, the specialist helps ensure vendor-supported services are reliable, secure, compliant, and aligned with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary operational contact for assigned vendors, including Credit Card Management platforms, Data platforms, and other strategic service providers.
Monitor vendor performance against service level agreements (SLAs), key performance indicators (KPIs), and contractual commitments.
Lead issue escalation and coordinate timely resolution of service and performance concerns.
Support vendor governance meetings, operational reviews, and service performance reporting.
Maintain vendor system integrations, connectivity, and data exchanges to support business operations.
Coordinate with business, application, and infrastructure teams on vendor-supported solutions and enhancements.
Support technical onboarding activities, access provisioning, and environmental readiness.
Ensure vendor integrations operate securely, reliably, and in accordance with established controls.
Monitor and troubleshoot vendor-related operational, integration, and access issues.
Coordinate incident management activities across internal teams and external partners.
Support root cause analysis, corrective action planning, and service recovery efforts.
Contribute to the ongoing stability, availability, and resilience of vendor-supported platforms.
Maintain vendor documentation, contracts, service inventories, and system dependency records.
Support vendor onboarding, offboarding, and periodic review processes.
Participate in vendor risk assessments covering operational, technology, cybersecurity, and regulatory considerations.
Ensure compliance with third-party risk management, control, audit, and governance requirements.
Identify opportunities to improve vendor management processes, workflows, and operational efficiency.
Support enhancements to integrations, reporting, controls, and service delivery practices.
Contribute to initiatives that improve vendor performance, customer outcomes, and operational resilience.
Interface with internal stakeholders like, Customer Service, Operations, Finance, Compliance, Audit, Enterprise Risk Management
What You'll Bring
Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
3+ years of experience in vendor management, third-party risk management, credit card operations, IT operations, service management, or a related operational role.
Strong understanding of vendor lifecycle management, service delivery, third-party governance, risk management, compliance, audit requirements, and control frameworks within a regulated environment.
Knowledge of system integrations, APIs, data exchanges, application support models, infrastructure concepts, and vendor-supported technology environments.
Proven ability to investigate operational issues, coordinate incident resolution, analyze performance metrics, identify risks, and deliver effective, data-driven solutions.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and collaborate across business, operational, technical, and vendor teams.
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently in a fast-paced environment, and drive continuous improvement through innovation and AI-enabled solutions.

Experience within banking, financial services, payments, fintech, or other highly regulated industries.

Experience with ServiceNow, vendor management platforms, monitoring tools, ticket management systems, or workflow automation solutions.
Understanding of cloud services, cybersecurity controls, operational resilience, business continuity planning, and disaster recovery practices.
Experience supporting enterprise technology platforms, data integrations, managed services, or large-scale vendor ecosystems.
Industry certifications such as ITIL, COBIT, Vendor Management Certification (CVM), Risk Management, Cybersecurity, or Project Management certifications. (Derived from the role requirements and responsibilities.)
Broadband Salary Range:
$53,000 – 88,000Our typical hiring range is between $70,000 and $80,000. Salary decisions are also dependent on other factors such as your experience, industry benchmarks, internal equity and other role-specific requirements. For critical roles, the compensation offering will be reviewed to ensure alignment with market rate and conditions and the unique value you bring to the role.
