Analog Hardware Design Engineer Ciena

Elevate your career at Ciena as a Senior Analog Hardware Design Engineer in Ottawa. Lead the design and development of complex circuit packs while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. As a key member of the Hardware Engineering team, you will report to the Senior Manager and take charge of designing high-performance hardware for Ciena's innovative platforms. Your role will involve analyzing signal integrity, guiding PCB layouts, and ensuring compliance with rigorous design and engineering standards. This hands-on position allows you to mentor junior engineers and drive process improvements across hardware design. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end design of high-layer-count circuit packs
- Perform schematic capture and signal integrity assessments
- Coordinate PCB fabrication and circuit pack assembly
- Conduct detailed design validations against technical specifications
- Author design documentation and facilitate milestone meetings
- Bachelor's or Master’s in Electrical Engineering
- 10+ years of hardware design experience
- Expertise in analog and digital circuit design
- Proficient with Cadence EDA tools
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
