Financial Management Assistant

Wage and Hours: $19.11/hr, 8-10 hrs/week

Work Terms:

1 staff, May - April (up to 52 weeks; excluding winter break)

Statutory holiday pay (20% of 4-week average weekly earnings)

Potential work over reading week & exam periods; winter break off

4% vacation pay on gross

Jobs Purpose: The Financial Management Assistant aids the General Manager and Finance & Operations Committee in the tracking, reconciliation and distribution of Association funds.

Description Summary:

Track and distribute funding for approved student financial assistance including but not limited to Grocery Assistance, Gardasil, Special Assistance, SERF, ATT, Apple, PSE, consignment book sales, club funding and student group non-event ticket sales.

Reconciliation of all income and expense transactions through Quickbooks.

Chair the Standing Committee on Finance and Operations including presenting applications for all permanent student support grants offered by the Association.

Training:

Mandatory trainings (i.e., AODA), Food Handlers, TCSA Orientation, & other training where available
