Truck & Trailer Mechanic - Virden, MB

Salary: $35–$47+/hour

Schedule: Day shift: Monday–Friday

Rockstar Recruiting is hiring an experienced Red Seal Truck & Trailer Mechanic / Journeyperson to join the growing maintenance operation for a heavy-duty truck & trailer repair shop in Virden, Manitoba.

Apprentice Level 3 are welcome to apply!!!

We are looking for qualified mechanics to diagnose, repair, and maintain a diverse fleet of heavy-duty trucks, trailers, oilfield equipment, and agricultural machinery.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform the full scope of Red Seal Truck & Transport Mechanic duties.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and related equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance, mechanical repairs, and inspections to ensure fleet reliability and safety.
• Maintain medium- and large-sized oilfield trucks, semi-trucks, and specialized tanker units.
• Work on tandem tank trucks, tri-axle and tri-drive tank trucks, pressure trucks, fresh-water tankers, winch trucks, and bed trucks.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and engine-related issues to minimize downtime.
• Service one-ton trucks and larger vehicles, trailers, and agricultural equipment.
• Perform provincial safety inspections in accordance with applicable requirements.
• Ensure all maintenance and repair work meets safety standards and quality expectations.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Red Seal Truck & Transport Mechanic certification or recognized journeyperson qualification
• Apprentice level 3 who is currently going through their certification
• Minimum 3–5 years of truck and trailer repair experience.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.
• Hands-on experience maintaining and repairing heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and related equipment.
• Experience performing safety inspections.
• Own toolbox and standard mechanic's tools, with the ability to provide specialty tools as required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a maintenance team.
• Valid driver's license.
