Location: Salmon Arm, BC

Department: Turf 

Reports To: Superintendent

Classification: Part-Time, Seasonal (16h/week)

Wage: $18.25 per hour

Summary

Salmon Arm Golf Club has many gardens around our clubhouse and nestled amongst the golf course as well as the Bed and Breakfast property attached to the golf course. It would be your responsibility for the maintenance and upkeep of these areas. This position gives you the unique opportunity to create your own schedule as well. Mornings, afternoons, 2h 4h 8h shifts in any combination of these are possible as long as standards are being met.

Responsibilities:

● Maintain all gardens across golf course property and clubhouse
● Weeding garden beds
● Topping up mulched areas and keeping them clear of debris
● Deadheading, pruning, splitting and replanting
● Supplemental watering at times
● Maintain a clean working environment which includes washing equipment and cleaning areas in and around maintenance shop
● Observes all company policies and works in a safe manner

Qualifications:

● Knowledge of plants and shrubs an asset but not required
● Must be self motivated and able to work independently
● A Positive attitude and enjoy working outdoors
● A driver's license is an asset
