Control System Engineering for Mining Projects

Peter Lucas Project Management seeks a Control System Engineer to oversee essential automation initiatives within Saskatchewan's mining sector. This role involves a schedule of 1 week in and 1 week out, flying to site locations. As a key member of our engineering team, you will handle the development and optimization of industrial control systems, leveraging your background in PLCs, DCS, and cybersecurity. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field and 5-8 years of experience in industrial automation, ensuring compliance with corporate standards and regulations in the process. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and optimize industrial control processes
  • Integrate vendor equipment for process automation
  • Program and troubleshoot PLC and DCS controls
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and compliance
  • Act as site expert for industrial control systems
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
  • 5-8 years of industrial control systems experience
  • Strong communication and troubleshooting skills
  • Eligible for APEGS registration
  • Capability to commute to site as needed
