FONCTION & TÂCHES : Relevant de l'Assistant Directeur des services complémentaires, le Conseiller travaille en étroite collaboration avec les autres conseillers de l'enfance en difficulté dans tous les volets de l'adaptation scolaire à fournir des services en inuktitut aux élèves ayant des besoins particuliers. Le titulaire participe également à la formation en cours d'emploi des enseignants inuits et aux séances de cours à leur intention.
• 20 jours de vacances annuelles
• 2 semaines de congé pendant la période des fêtes
• Programme d'aide aux employés et à leur famille (PAEF) incluant un service de télémédecine

- Évaluation et diagnostic des cas présumés de difficultés d'apprentissage dans les écoles;
- Dépistage des cas de troubles émotionnels et de problèmes de comportement;
- Formation et encadrement des enseignants en adaptation scolaire et des conseillers de la Commission;
- Élaboration progressive d'instruments de diagnostic et de matériel correctif adaptés à la réalité culturelle;
- Formation en cours d'emploi et formation des maîtres dans le domaine de l'éducation;
- Implication dans un processus continu de recherches concernant la langue d'enseignement.
- Détenir un brevet d'enseignement valide au Québec, ou être, sur le point d'obtenir le diplôme de formation des maîtres du programme de Kativik-McGill;
- Au moins trois ans d'expérience dans l'enseignement à des enfants ayant des besoins particuliers.
- Connaissance sûre de l'inuktitut parlé et écrit, et connaissance pratique d'une langue seconde;
- Connaissance des instruments de diagnostic et du matériel correctif en inuktitut;
- Disponibilité à faire de nombreux déplacements.
