Journeyperson Welder

Right Choice Energy Services Inc. (RCESI) is seeking Journeyperson Welders to join our team in Moose Jaw.

Reporting to the Shop and/or Site Supervisor(s), this position will support RCESIs fabrication and construction activities in shop and field environments. DSP Welders are also welcome to apply.

Responsibilities include:

Reading and interpreting drawings, welding symbols, specifications, and WPS requirements
Fitting and welding structural and piping components
Safely operating welding, cutting, power, hand, and mobile equipment
Following applicable welding codes, WPS requirements, and project specifications
Completing visual inspections, equipment inspections, and required documentation
Performing welding work at heights as required
Maintaining welding consumables, tools, equipment, and work areas
Supporting apprentices and less experienced welders as required

Qualifications:

Valid Journeyperson Welder certification recognized in Saskatchewan or equivalent
Minimum 2 years of structural and/or pipe welding experience
Oil & gas or production shop experience is an asset
Strong knowledge of welding codes and WPS requirements
Strong measuring, layout, and cutting skills
Knowledge of SMAW, FCAW, and/or MCAW processes and applicable tickets
Safety conscious and committed to fit-for-duty requirements
Physically capable of lifting over 20 lbs, standing for extended periods, and maintaining worksite mobility
Valid drivers licence with clean abstract
First Aid and H2S Alive certification required at start date
Willingness to travel throughout Southern SK, Alberta, and Manitoba
Willingness to work varying hours, overtime, weekends, and shifts as required

Additional safety training is an asset.

Safety Sensitive Position: Successful candidates must complete a pre-employment Drug & Alcohol test. Audiometric and lung function testing will be scheduled upon hire as required.
