Lead Environmental Services at Extendicare

Lead the charge in environmental services as the Environmental Services Manager at Extendicare. Drive quality care through effective management of housekeeping, laundry, and maintenance operations. As a key management figure reporting to the Executive Director, you will enhance the living conditions of residents at Extendicare. Your role focuses on optimizing departmental processes in line with the Fixing Long-Term Care Act 2021. You will ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment through effective leadership. Key Responsibilities:

• Implement environmental service strategies aligning with goals
• Ensure thorough maintenance of records per regulatory standards
• Oversee snow removal, landscaping, and external property upkeep
• Conduct inspections and quality assessments regularly
• Manage procurement for facility projects and repairs

Requirements:

• 3 years of relevant management experience preferred
• Must hold WHMIS and Health and Safety certifications
• Long-Term Care experience is a vital asset
• Membership in the Canadian Healthcare Housekeepers’ Association
• Physical capability to assist with maintenance tasks
