Drive innovation as a Lead Software Engineer at Ranger AI, focusing on LLM systems design and production. This remote/hybrid opportunity involves hands-on technical leadership and collaboration. In this role, you will establish the architecture and reliability of production LLM systems while maintaining high engineering standards. With over seven years of software development experience, particularly in building full-stack applications, you'll collaborate with product and design teams to ensure seamless integration. Your leadership will also involve mentoring junior engineers and fostering high code quality. Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and build production LLM pipelines and multi-step agents
- Design systems for reliability and graceful degradation
- Develop evaluation and observability layers for performance
- Create scalable backend systems and data pipelines
- Mentor team members and set engineering standards
- Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field
- 7+ years of software development experience
- Hands-on experience with LLM systems in production
- Expertise in distributed system architecture
- Familiarity with NextJS, NestJS, and AWS services
