Capital Projects Procurement Advisor

Lead capital-project procurement in Calgary or Fort McMurray, using sourcing and commercial negotiation skills in an office-based contract role. Support materials and services for complex projects while aligning purchasing with schedules, budgets, and requirements.This one-year Procurement Advisor contract may be extended and requires 40 hours weekly, Monday through Friday. You will lead procurement activities supporting mining and tailings-related work. The role partners with project, engineering, operations, and supplier stakeholders.Key Responsibilities:
Lead sourcing and procurement for capital-project materials and servicesDevelop RFx events and evaluate supplier proposalsPrepare supplier award recommendations for project requirementsNegotiate pricing, commercial terms, and supply arrangementsManage purchase orders, expediting, issues, changes, and closeoutRequirements:
Bring 5–7 years of relevant procurement or supply chain experienceLead sourcing execution, RFx processes, and commercial negotiationsUnderstand purchase order lifecycle management and supply risk mitigationDemonstrate strong commercial, financial, and analytical skillsWork effectively with cross-functional project and supplier stakeholdersApply procurement, negotiation, purchase-order, and stakeholder-management expertise to complex capital projects supporting mining and tailings work.
