A Few Good Lads is seeking experienced All-Round Carpenters to work on renovation and upgrade projects across Vancouver. This role requires a well-rounded skillset, with the ability to handle a variety of carpentry tasks from formwork through to finishing .
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and takes pride in delivering high-quality work across all stages of construction. You will be working on active renovation sites where precision, efficiency, and problem-solving are key.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of carpentry tasks, including framing, formwork, and finishing work
- Complete renovation work such as drywall, trim, doors, and general upgrades
- Read and interpret drawings, plans, and specifications
- Measure, cut, and install materials with a high level of accuracy
- Ensure all work meets quality standards and project requirements
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Work closely with site supervisors and other trades to complete projects efficiently
- Troubleshoot issues and adapt to changing site conditions
Requirements
- Proven experience as an all-round carpenter (minimum 3+ years preferred)
- Strong skills in both rough carpentry (formwork/framing) and finishing carpentry
- High attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Ability to read and follow construction drawings
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Own basic tools and reliable transportation
- CSTS 2020 & WHMIS 2015 (preferred)
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working on residential or commercial renovation projects
- Knowledge of multiple trades (drywall, minor electrical/plumbing, etc.)
- Fall Protection certification
