Unison Health and Community Services
Contribute to community health as a Board Member for Unison. We seek individuals reflective of the communities we serve, emphasizing leadership in health equity and expertise in finance and communications. Unison is looking for Board Members who represent the diversity within the 2SLBTQI+: Latinx, Filipinx, seniors, youth, and BIPOC communities. Candidates must live or work in Unison’s service areas and demonstrate a strong commitment to community health. Governance experience in not-for-profit organizations and comprehensive understanding in both finance and communications are essential. Key Responsibilities:
- Attend a minimum of one to two evening meetings monthly
- Collaborate with fellow board members to make impactful decisions
- Leverage expertise in finance for organizational oversight
- Advocate for health equity initiatives within the community
- Engage with diverse populations represented by Unison
- At least 18 years of age
- Governance experience in non-profit settings
- Background in health or social services sector
- Strong communication skills
- Commitment to community leadership
