Duties
- Prepare fresh ingredients through proper food handling and meal preparation techniques to ensure efficiency and quality.
- Cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes, standards, and safety guidelines.
- Assist in food plating and presentation to ensure visually appealing dishes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety protocols at all times.
- Support the kitchen team by performing basic food prep tasks such as chopping, portioning, and assembling ingredients.
- Follow serving procedures to ensure timely delivery of orders and excellent customer service.
- Collaborate with team members to uphold a positive work environment and ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Qualifications
- Previous food service experience, particularly in restaurant or kitchen environments, is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards.
- Experience with food handling, meal preparation, and maintaining cleanliness in a busy kitchen setting.
- Strong understanding of the food industry’s best practices for safety and hygiene.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks required in a fast-paced kitchen.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward learning new skills.
- Prior experience with serving or assisting in food service is a plus but not mandatory.
