Psychiatrist - Locum

Overview

We’re looking for psychiatrists to join our team at Penticton Regional Hospital on a locum basis, offering practice opportunities in a supportive community setting in the South Okanagan Valley, surrounded by lakes, vineyards, and year-round outdoor recreation.

Responsibilities

• Cover call, inpatient, and general ward consult coverage.
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary, team-based environment focused on delivering high-quality inpatient mental health care.

Compensation and Availability

• Temporary locum income guarantee from May 22, 2026 to September 30, 2026.
• Minimum income guarantee of $2,200 per 24-hour shift, inclusive of all income sources (FFS and MOCAP) for locum psychiatrists covering call, inpatient and general ward consult coverage.
• Calculation is based on the average billings over the shifts during the income guarantee, not each shift.
• A minimum of 10 hours per 24-hour shift must be worked on-site to be eligible for the income guarantee.
