Construction Project Manager

We are looking for a Construction Project Manager to join an established contractor in Grand Cayman .

Joining a collaborative, detail-focused team, you will oversee projects valued up to US$20 million, taking responsibility for delivery from pre-construction through to completion and final handover.

This opportunity is open to candidates based in Canada who are willing to relocate to Grand Cayman.

The Role

You will manage the day-to-day execution of high-end construction projects, ensuring work meets agreed safety, budget, schedule and quality requirements. Working closely with clients, consultants and site teams, you will combine practical construction leadership with strong commercial and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of luxury residential, multi-family and commercial projects, sometimes concurrently.
• Manage onsite operations, subcontractors, suppliers and project teams.
• Develop, monitor and manage project budgets, construction schedules and procurement requirements.
• Oversee RFIs, submittals, material procurement and document control.
• Chair site meetings and maintain clear progress and contract reporting.
• Coordinate architects, engineers and construction teams to resolve issues and maintain progress.
• Drive quality control, ensuring workmanship and finishes meet project specifications.
• Maintain site safety standards throughout all construction phases.
• Review contractor invoices and payment applications.
• Manage project closeout and coordinate final handover.

Experience and Qualifications

• At least five years’ experience as a Construction Manager or Project Manager with a general contractor.
• Proven experience delivering high-end residential construction, alongside multi-family and commercial projects.
• Strong understanding of construction budgeting, scheduling and contract administration.
• Demonstrated ability to lead site teams and subcontractors while delivering projects on schedule.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Bluebeam and Microsoft Office.
• Valid driving license.
• Experience with Buildertrend and knowledge of Caribbean or island construction practices would be advantageous.
