Renovation Carpenter

Job Responsibility:

I am looking for a variety candidates with 3-5+ years associated experience in residential or commercial renovation, from demo & framing through to finishing and all work requires problem solving skills. We work as a team to solve all problems. We need applicants willing to apply their variety of skills to a variety of jobs and job locations.

You must have your own vehicle and able to work independently at times. Our projects are interior and exterior, big and small. Projects include residential and some commercial renovations, demolition, framing, drywall, painting, millwork finishing, cabinetry, flooring, tiling, decks, fences and a variety of maintenance jobs. The work load keeps on growing and changing, so come join the team.

We are also a subcontractor for disaster restoration work. Being a part of the team does not necessarily mean you need to be part of the 24/7 on call restoration work, but a willingness to do so is an asset. Skills in the Restoration Industry are welcomed.

We have lots on the go and need your help. Our projects do have various locations within Canmore and the Bow Valley. Varied experience is an asset and there is definitely room to grow your skills with the variety of areas we deal with. We work as a team to get the project successfully completed.

Your hands on experience/education and specific trade training are considered. We appreciate diverse backgrounds that can bring a broader skill base and approach to our projects. A focused approached and attention to detail are required.

Since we are also hiring a junior level position, the ability to supervise and delegate tasks is required from more experienced staff. Some training/guidance of less experienced staff may be required within the delegation of tasks. Demonstrating how it needs to be done. A valid drivers license is required and the ability to pick up basic materials from suppliers is an asset. Your own basic tools are required. Consumables for those tools are provided.

Stated wages are starting points dependant on experience. We understand what it takes to live in the Bow Valley. Applicants from out of town should understand that as well. Housing is very tight, but are willing to work with you and local property managers to get you settled. As for benefits, we are not of a size to offer a full package, but we do offer added wage compensation to cover self directed benefits packages, like Alberta Blue Cross or Green Shield.
