Are you an experienced Mechanical Designer? EXP is hiring for an independent contractor role focused on mining projects in St. Johns, NL, Brampton, Sudbury, or North Bay, ON. As a Mining Mechanical Designer, you’ll leverage over 15 years of heavy industrial design experience to lead project teams and develop sophisticated mechanical layouts using tools like Microstation V8 and AutoCAD. Your technical proficiency will guide design validation processes while mentoring junior designers in executing project goals effectively. Engagement with clients and insight into project delivery will be crucial for success. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage design teams across projects
- Create and validate detailed mechanical drawings
- Troubleshoot engineering solutions for projects
- Administer budgets and schedules for successful outcomes
- Provide mentorship to ensure team development
- 15 years of relevant design experience
- Strong knowledge of mining processes
- Skills in Bentley and 3-D Microstation
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
